        Verdict

        Berneuil bids to repeat last year’s victory in this under Christophe Soumillon though the latter has been claimed to ride the Aga Khan’s Haziym in this. Ponntos beat the former here in May and wasn’t disgraced at Goodwood last time while Winwood has been in good form over longer trips for Andre Fabre. The UK has three representatives and White Lavender placed in a Group 2 sprint at Chantilly in June while Get Ahead steps up from landing a handicap at Goodwood. ROYAL ACCLAIM came up short drawn on the wrong side in the Nunthorpe at York last month but it’s too soon to write James Tate’s filly off and she gets another chance in this.
