Verdict

Posh Lady has run some reasonable races over hurdles and she has to be considered for Ian Ferguson but, in a race dominated by the Irish in terms of numbers, it is BORAGH PRINCESS that gets the vote with Jane Of Arc rated the best of the home team. The selection is one of 12 runners trained in Ireland in the 16 runner line up and Jessica Harrington's mare has shown improved form since being switched to hurdles having been well held on her only start in a bumper; a reproduction of recent form at Cork and Wexford should see her tough to beat. Loughaderra Dame ran better at Ballinrobe last time and is another one of the Irish challengers with claims as is Irish point winner Dree Hill, who ran encouragingly on her rules debut in a similar contest at Cartmel. Gordon Elliott's Riverscape was capable on the flat and made a pleasing debut over timber when a close third behind Give A Little at Punchestown last time. She has solid claims along with Jim Goldie's Jane Of Arc, who comes here fit from the flat and has shown some encouragement over hurdles. Boragh Princess has the best form on offer though and she is preferred.
