Verdict

This is a further step up in class but THEO is on a marked upward curve and still unexposed over fences. He’s yet to taste defeat since switching to Richard Newland’s yard and can go in again. A 4lb rise for a second at Southwell hasn’t done Hammersly Lake any favours and he wouldn’t want any rain while Master Dee is having his first run since beaten when odds-on to compete a hat-trick at Leicester last December. Notarfbad is often placed but still looking a few pounds too high but Guitar Pete, a Grade 1 winner over hurdles, is well treated over fences if putting his best foot forward.
