Verdict

JOSEPH MERCER was rerouted here despite being declared at Hereford yesterday. His second to Jump City at Newton Abbot last month looks the best form on offer in this and he can open his account. Kris Kross has won a point-to-point and a bumper and should make his mark over hurdles. He probably has more scope than Newcastle third My Idea but Kasszec will have learned plenty from her third at Downpatrick and Tepalo is another Irish raider with potential. Ryton Runner was third at Kelso on his hurdling debut but disappointed here next time and is probably best watched today.
