In depth

Verdict

Constable Burton,Dubonai and Diamond Jack look the three to concentrate on in this novices hurdle and the narrow vote is given to Constable Burton. The selection won well when making all last time out when beating Skiddaw Jones. Granted he has a penalty for that win but this is not a very good race and he is taken to win again under conditions that suit. Dubonai rates the main danger as he also won well last time out when beating Rossclare but that form has since been let down and at likely odds he looks worth opposing. Diamond Jack won a seller in good style last time out when beating Known Manuver but this looks more competitive. Majorca and Motorway were fair sorts on the flat and are from shrewd yards so should be noted in the market but for the winner we return to Constable Burton.
