Verdict
Limerick Leader is the confident selection here with Dark Shadows and Kings Mill the others worthy of consideration. The selection was staying on well over 2m at Warwick last time behind Majestic Moonbeam and that form looks solid in the context of this race. He will appreciate the step up in trip as he is bred to want further, and has the added assistance of Richard Johnson in the plate. Dark Shadows was second over course and distance back in May and won't mind the rain so looks to be the one that our selection has to beat. Kings Mill is a fair performer on the flat and showed a modicum of ability on his first two appearances over hurdles before disappointing last time. He goes well fresh and has the perfect ground so should go well at an attractive price. He looks to have an outstanding place chance but we are happy to side with Limerick Leader who has solid claims and will take a good deal of beating.
