Verdict

MR PREACHER MAN can score an overdue success at the expense of Flying Doctor and Herakles. Mr Preacher Man's second to Russian Trigger at this track reads particularly well in the context of this moderate handicap and while its no surprise to see a chasing career curtailed, the handicapper is slowly loosening the noose at present. Flying Doctor has been kept busy over the summer by Nicky Richards. Race fitness will be no issue although an ability to handle the trip probably is. Herakles is quirky. Another to try a step up in trip, he is effective on the scheduled going. Buck The Legend does not appeal as particularly speedy and its interesting that connections have elected in the past to keep him to bottomless going around the likes of Chepstow. Paddy Brennan probably had the choice of the Twiston-Davies pair. Heraldry was a useful performer in bumpers though has clearly had outings limited due to training troubles. Solway Minstrel had two years off before his latest run. Manoubi never quite achieved what was initially promised. Kirkside Pleasure does not look any great shakes but it would be folly to ignore any money for Sue Bradburne's charge. Mr Preacher Man is our pick in a low grade affair.
