Verdict
An interesting bumper, and one in which the betting might provide a few clues but, for the winner, we like the look of Right Direction ahead of Dunsemore and, possibly, Thought Control. The selection ran with promise when sent over from Ireland for his debut when third to the Jonjo O'Neill-trained Square Mile, who came into the race as a winner. In the context of this contest, that certainly reads as good form and he should go well on what could have by now been a very good day for Tony McCoy. Dunsemore stepped up on her previous two efforts to finish a good second over course and distance last time, and that effort affords her respect, but Polly Whitefoot, despite hailing from a good stable, will have to step up on her Bangor debut to feature. Being by Kris out of a Lyphard mare, Thought Control has plenty to like on breeding and Richard Johnson is an interesting booking, so watch the betting market with interest, while Direct Mandate also has something to like on breeding. Over Flo was well held in third on her Market Rasen debut but at least showed some promise but, once again, for the winner, we turn to Right Direction.
