In depth
Verdict
The amateurs take centre stage and the presence of Jamie Codd jumps off the page. A practitioner of high standing, he's very much the one to beat here on WESTERN HOME (NAP). The mare has been in fine form this season, would have won here on her penultimate start but for a last fence tumble and made amends when obliging at Cartmel this month. She still looks feasibly treated off 115 and can provide Gordon Elliott with another success. Maraweh was not at his best last time but his overall profile brings him into contention and he does boast a soft-ground success although his strongest performances have come on a faster surface. Quickasyoucan has form over track, ground and trip but does come off a break, whilst Johnny Go put some modest efforts behind him when a close third here on the soft this month.
