      Verdict

      The highlight of the card and many chances. So much will depend upon whether the tremendous effort by REMILUC to finish second in the County Hurdle at Cheltenham under today's conditional has left a telling mark. If he is still in the same heart, then he's hard to oppose in this bid for useful financial compensation. Imperial Cup winner, Mr Antolini attracts similar comments and showed excellent resilience to emerge victorious that day in a compelling battle with Call Me Lord. A 6lb rise in the weights seems fair. Jaisalmer faces a massive rise in grade here but is progressive, whilst Vado Forte and Kings Walk cannot be discounted with both going the right way and receiving a hefty amount of weight from those to the head of the handicap.

      Jaisalmer (IRE) 2-1 (11-5) Made all, joined when hit 2 out, strongly pressed from between last 2, stayed on gamely under pressure run-in, well on top towards finish, won at Fontwell 2m 2f (4) hvy in Feb beating Distingo (11-5) by 3 1/2l, 7 ran.

      Vado Forte (FR) 6-1 (11-6) Held up in rear, steady headway from 7th, led 2 out, clear last, stayed on well, won at Taunton 2m 3f hcp (4) hvy in Mar beating Caviar D'Allen (10-8) by 9l, 15 ran.

      Kings Walk (IRE) 12-1 (10-11) Tracked leader, led narrowly before 2 out, hard pressed last, ridden and stayed on under pressure flat, held on near finish, won at Kempton 2m 5f hcp (3) gd in Feb beating The Mighty Don (11-9) by nk, 14 ran.

      Early Du Lemo (FR) 7-1 (10-11) Pulled hard, mistake 1st, held up in last pair, smooth headway on outside into 3rd 3 out, went 2nd between last 2, keeping on same pace when went left last, no chance with winner, 2nd of 7, 3 1/2l behind Sizing Granite (11-9) at Newbury 2m hcp (2) sft in Mar.
