      Verdict

      SIR EGBERT (NAP) is rated 6lb higher over fences and was successful when last seen over hurdles. He is Richard Johnson’s only booked ride on today’s card and ran well on his reappearance at Wetherby so should take all the beating. Poucor has only won a Hereford maiden so far but has been in action on the Flat and went close at Yarmouth three weeks ago. Fresno Emery won at Fontwell at the end of last year but his form has nose-dived since. West Drive also has plenty to prove at present.
