Verdict
HALLEY was a Grade 1 winner over fences at Auteuil in 2011 but has never fulfilled that potential for Tom George. He was third in a handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter last month, however, so maybe he's finally starting to acclimatise and he could be the value in this if he's turned the corner. Reblis won over 3m2f here last month and is still fairly treated on his best form while Leg Iron won over this trip at Warwick and is only 4lb higher. Ballybough Gorta is an honest stayer but would prefer a sounder surface, though is still preferred to Monkerty Tunkerty and veteran Mortimers Cross. A P McCoy partners Smokin Aces and he also has decent claims if a Chepstow run over an inadequate trip has blown away a few cobwebs. He was an out-and-out stayer in Ireland a couple of years ago but has had his problems since.
