In depth

Verdict

Its A Dream and Dont Call Me Derek meet Kruguyrova on 7lb better terms for 2 lengths and twenty two lengths respectively; the race should revolve around these three with Kruguyrova taken to confirm her superiority. Kruguyrova made Refinement work hard on her debut for this yard before making a winning chase debut over this course and distance, winning a shade comfortably. Dont Call Me Derek ran well enough to suggest that he can win races in this sphere but he probably has too much to find to turn the tables this afternoon and it would be no surprise if this boiled down to a match. Prior to his reappearance, Its A Dream's only defeats since debut had come in races won by Denman and Black Jack Ketchum but that in itself raises concerns as he may not come into his own until granted a stiffer test of stamina. He's clearly an extremely promising sort but Charles Egerton's mare may have too much speed for him at this trip and Kruguyrova is the call.
