Alioski finished third here last September and had a run on the all-weather last month but a couple of hurdling newcomers catch the eye. SOPHOSC wasn’t beaten far over 2m at Southwell in March and has won five times on the all-weather and twice on Turf on the Flat. Psyche hasn’t won since his final start as a two-year-old and does seem best on artificial surfaces but this is not a particularly strong opener.
