Verdict
Another uncompetitive contest in which it is extremely hard to look beyond Sandy Duff in a race which makes little appeal as a betting medium. The Paul Webber-trained gelding landed back to back novice wins at Lingfield and Southwell before taking a sharp rise in class against such luminaries as Seebald and Fondmort in class A events at Cheltenham, Sandown and Aintree. The son of Scottish Reel can be forgiven a below par effort in first time visors on his latest start and a clear round will be sufficient to dispose of significantly inferior rivals. Paddy Butler's recent course winner River Amora should be the one for the forecast ahead of the thoroughly disappointing Politburo.
