Verdict
THE GREEN OGRE has more experience than most of these, which should stand him in good stead on the ground. His best run came when runner-up in the exotically-named Sussex Champion Hurdle Handicap on this track in April, form that should be good enough for this. Midnight Spin finished runner-up in a slowly-run novices' event on his opening start over timber at Worcester and should be better suited by a stiffer test, which he's likely to get here. Tidestream, a son of Galileo, cost 140,000 euros as a two-year-old but a 10th of that at this summer's Argana sales after moderate form on the Flat in France. Mon Petit Ange has a stamina-packed pedigree so she should be much happier over jumps than when making her racecourse debut in a Towcester bumper where at least she showed she handles the ground.
