Verdict
Ashcott Boy was well beaten over the track and trip on his return to fences in September but has improved dramatically since, scoring at Warwick and Sedgefield. Another 8lb rise makes this more difficult but he will make a bold bid for the hat trick. SONNY THE ONE was having his first start since April and making his chasing bow when just failing to hold on over a slightly longer trip at Wincanton last month. With that under his belt, he can go one place better. Val D'arc has had his jumping problems and a mistake cost him has chance at Warwick last time but Mr Muddle showed his liking for the track when gaining a comfortable victory in April and Sheena West should have him ready. The Green Ogre gained his only success over hurdles here and will be better for a promising debut over fences at Kempton.
