      Verdict

Running Hot, Mystic King and Sou'wester make the shortlist here with Mystic King the selection. A winner over the course and distance in March where he beat The Hardy Boy, Running Hot was made favourite on a return visit for his seasonal bow, but he made a couple of mistakes and was well beaten. He may need another run or two before returning to form. Mystic King is a winning pointer but showed little under rules last season. However, he ran well to be third at Towcester on his re-appearance and can go well here. Useful hurdler Sou'Wester is yet to hit the frame over fences but he has only been tried three times. He is having his first run since June and he is best watched here. Mystic King gets the vote
