Verdict

Special Acceptance won over track and trip at the end of last year though is now 8lb higher and disappointed at Exeter last month. Faustinovick found one too good yet again when just missing out at Southwell and a 3lb rise makes life more difficult while FORGOT TO ASK is another looking to put a frustrating string of placed efforts behind him. But Tom George’s charge will appreciate today’s faster going and may prevail this time having finished clear of the rest when runner-up at Wincanton.

Formwatch

Faustinovick 7-4jfav (12-0) Chased leader, landed awkwardly 4th, lost 2nd after next, went 2nd again and landed awkwardly 3 out, challenged last, held towards finish, 2nd of 7, 3/4l behind Ecossais (11-1) at Southwell 3m hcp (4) gs in Mar.

Special Acceptance 10-1 (11-1) Held up towards rear, bit closer in mid-division 11th (water), blundered 13th, never on terms after, well behind when pulled up before 3 out, at Exeter 3m 7f hcp (3) sft in Feb.
