In depth

Verdict

A weak race where Tommy Carson is chanced at the immediate expense of It's My Party and Lets Go Dutch. Tommy Carson has carved out a career as something of a track specialist around here and while the prevailing conditions have to be a slight worry, he has relatively little concerns as far as fencing is concerned and he might just be able to get away with it on this occasion. It's My Party has always threatened to win a race in the past and he scooted up over course-and-distance 15 days ago. The visor certainly helped last time out and Bill Turner persists with it this time around. Lets Go Dutch stays extreme distances well if not particularly quickly. He handles the surface adequately and would be a player if completing. Hurlers Cross has plummeted down the weights over the last season. A fair run (albeit from a very low rating) last time out entitles the previous course-and-distance winner to enter calculations. Dr Flight and Lord 'n' Master have produced little of note in recent outings. Supporters of Tommy Carson do have the likely going to worry about but his class might just be enough to see him through
