Verdict

BRUNTON BLUE ended last year with a battling victory at Folkestone in November and pulled much too hard under an amateur on his reappearance last month. He'll get stronger handling here and will be better for that run so just edges the vote over Superciliary. Chris Gordon's charge is in good form having followed his victory on this track with a reasonable effort in a better race at Wincanton. Ardmaddy, a maiden winner here in 2010, was having his first start for almost three years when close up in a Huntingdon seller earlier this month and should have come on for that run while Kijivu has been running reasonably well on the Flat.
