      Verdict

The lightly raced Joe Mchugh is fancied to hard to master in this company, although the in-form Tallow Bay and Dun Locha Castle are not expected to go down without a fight. Dun Locha Castle has been consistent since he won at Chepstow around this time last year. He goes well with a bit of give underfoot and the predicted heavy showers will not inconvenience his challenge. However, he does look weighted up to his best and appears to need some assistance from the handicapper at present. Tallow Bay has been a revelation this season and should confirm his superiority over Up The Pub despite meeting that rival on unfavourable terms this afternoon. Even so, he has also gone up 29lbs for three easy victories and now faces his stiffest test for quite some time. Especially as the unexposed Joe Mchugh has already run up to a comparable mark and, as he looks a most progressive type for this time of year, this half-brother to Fundamentalist could easily make a mockery of the lenient mark he was allotted after breezing home in similar company at Warwick a fortnight ago.
