In depth

Verdict

JERRYSBACK’s long-term future will be over fences but the winning pointer is a half-brother to a hurdles winner and looks to have been found a good starting point to his career under Rules. Clondaw Bisto, another winning pointer who has also won a bumper, was placed over hurdles at Fontwell and Towcester before being pulled up in a handicap at Wincanton and still has a bit of scope. Groundunderrepair can only improve on his second at Fontwell and Zero Grand has improved with each run and should find a low-grade handicap before the season is ended.
