Compromiznotension gets a narrow vote in this wide open claimer, Abbey Cat and Porters are two others in with chances. The selection was an impressive winner of a soft ground handicap at Newcastle last month and wasn't disgraced under a penalty next time. He is not too badly treated here on official ratings and again should have ground in his favour. Abbey Cat is also in good form having landed a handicap last time out off a mark of 77. The stable continues in a excellent form and a big run can be expected. Porters is the class act in the race and although having to give weight away all round has to be considered now dropped to this company. Pommes Frites and Underfire are two others in good form at present, but Compromizenotension has plenty going for him today and he gets our vote.
