Paul Midgley's pair Mr Orange and Emerald Asset both make some appeal from the foot of the weights in this. Kingthistle has gone close at Beverley and Redcar this year and Wilde Extravagance was second over 6f here last year and beaten less than a length over 5f at Carlisle, another stiff track, in May. SEMANA SANTA beat a subsequent winner over 6f at Wolverhampton in April and hasn't been fazed back over 5f in a couple of subsequent starts. She's likely to be suited by this course and looks well drawn in stall three. Swirral Edge rarely runs a bad race and it would be no surprise to see her in the frame again.
