In depth
Verdict
Dragons Will Rise scored twice over shorter here last summer and stepped up to this trip for the first time at Ripon in May where he was beaten less than a length into third. Eagle Court has won over a mile here but stays the trip and though out of form has slipped to his lowest ever mark. Wor Willie won over 1m6f at Thirsk in April and may need further but CHARLES ST (NAP) looks the one to beat. A winner over the trip at Wolverhampton, his head defeat in a much better race than this at Musselburgh would be good enough and he didn't act on soft ground at Goodwood. Planet Legend has been narrowly beaten in two maidens over the trip and makes his handicap debut while Madame Ambassador produced her best run to date when tackling the trip for the first time at Goodwood.
