In depth

Verdict

HYDROS, a son of Frankel and a half-brother to two winners, made a belated debut on fast going at Doncaster where he chased home previous winner Magical Morning. That should have brought him on for this with only Sky Power looking to have similar scope. Richard Hannon's charge hasn't been seen since a very promising debut on soft ground at Newmarket last November but4 wouldn't be travelling north unless connections were confident of a big run. Liberation Point is another with a long absence to overcome having made a very encouraging debut at Newcastle in December. The remainder look as though they are playing for places.
