    Verdict

    Captain Midnight has lost his form of late having threatened on a couple of occasions earlier in the year. Emef Diamond is also struggling but EL BEAU makes some appeal given he found only Imshivalla too good over track and trip last time. He re-opposes on better terms today and is also preferred to Eddiemaurice. The latter failed to land a hat-trick when a well-beaten fourth here last time so a further 3lb rise seems a tad harsh. It was soft ground when Ahoy There won at Nottingham last year while La Havrese was due to run at Catterick yesterday.
