        Verdict

        The looks to be a good opportunity for Boston Lodge to bring to an end a fruitless spell despite running well this season. The ex-Irish Coolfore Jade comes into the race as something of a blot on the handicap and will be interesting the money is down from her shrewd yard. However, she has had problems with the starting stalls and much will depend on how she acts in the preliminaries. Therefore Rookwith may pose the selection the biggest threat if he can return to the sort of form that saw him lose his maiden tag at Ripon earlier in the season. He does have a theoretically good chance at the weights but Boston Lodge is a tough and consistent sort who should confirm his official rating as the best horse in the race.
