In depth

Verdict

SUMMERGHAND missed out by only a nose in the Wokingham at Ascot last month and a similar effort should see him get his head in front this time. He’s preferred to stablemate Watchable, who was winning on the all-weather over the winter. Last year’s Ayr Silver Cup winner Golden Apollo will be sharper for a recent outing at Ascot while Shawaamekh drops down in trip representing last year’s winning yard and finished in front of True Mason over 7f at Redcar last month. George Bowen tumbled down the weights after scoring at Kempton last March while Walhaan has his second start for new connections having twice over 7f in France.
