Verdict
The Ducking Stool appears to go well for an amateur and makes a swift reappearance after being beaten less than a length in a similar contest at Newbury on Sunday. Julia Fielden's charge looks sure to be thereabouts but SKYFIRE has been knocking on the door and, with the excellent Simon Walker doing the steering, can gain an overdue success. Hail Promenader won over a mile here last year and has scored at Chepstow and Yarmouth this year but struggles to stay this longer trip. Frosty Berry looks best of the rest.
