In depth
Verdict
Kings College Boy is taken to expand on his seasonal haul; possibly at the main expense of the hat-trick seeking Blue Maeve and the in-form Witchry, who have both hit top gear at the right time for this. Witchry has steadily come to himself this term and deserved his win at Folkestone last time. This does look a tougher assignment though and he needs everything to go his way. Blue Maeve is speedy on his day and, having won well here last time, he has to be respected. He is a previous course and distance winner and is capable of making this a really good test for the rest. However, with a good draw and a jockey booked that knows, Kings College Boy has everything in his favour today and he is fancied to be very hard to get past when they bear down on the line.
