In depth

Verdict

Ralphy Boy has won this for the last two seasons and has to be considered despite his ordinary recent form. Chiswick Bey was not suited by the way his race panned out last time and is respected, while Buckland Beau is handicapped to go close even though his lack of victories on turf is slightly offputting. Cases can be made for several others, but the vote goes to STANLEY , who hails from a stable which has done well with its limited number of Flat representatives and who shaped well against a progressive 3yo last time. Rockwood looks best of the rest.
