Verdict

Silvestre De Sousa is making a concerted push to lead the jockeys' title race and can get off to a flyer with VITAL GOLD, who was very green on his debut at Yarmouth but ran on nicely when the penny had dropped. Quiet Appeal also took some time to warm up on her debut here and will have come on greatly for the experience while Byronic Hero really caught the eye when staying on late over the minimum trip at Carlisle and should be in the shake-up. Miss Conduct and Sunny Side Up are others to consider in an open contest.
