Verdict
A very competitive handicap and the suggestion is ATLANTIC BEACH to get the better of Go Go Green, Ryan Style and Piscean. The David O'Meara string is in cracking form, and that augurs well for Atlantic Beach, who has gone up 11lbs for wins at Carlisle and Beverley in recent weeks, both against decent yardstick Noodles Blue Boy. He continued to look as though he had something in hand with his latest success and may be able to defy a 7lb rise. Go Go Green has a good record at this track and is starting to slip back down the weights, having not won since doing so over course and distance in October. He acts on fast or good to soft ground and should be very competitive, though he does have a high enough draw. Ryan Style is another hat-trick seeker after success at Ayr and Chester. He is up 3lbs for the most recent of those but does not look as though he would want any rain. Piscean tries to follow-up a Sandown win from 4lbs higher and he did well that day to overcome the dreaded low draw. He is much respected but is another who wants the rain to stay away. Ghostwing and Lucky Numbers may both be in the grip of the assessor now, but Hamilton scorer Haajes is very interesting back out under a penalty and will be a leading player if conditions are good or softer. He will take some beating and Atlantic Beach might just be the one to do it.
