Verdict

BARON SPIKEY was still in contention at the 5f marker at Ayr but couldn't keep up with the eventual winner inside the final furlong - David Barron's colt can go one better in this. Robin Park will need to improve on her second at Ffos Las but may well do so and makes more appeal than Yorkshire and Charles Messier. Grandad's World is a half-brother to a couple of winners and worth noting on his debut.
