        Verdict

        Rated 72, Lucky Mistake should be winning at this level but a string of previous seconds is off-putting. A chance is taken on BENJAMIN THOMAS improving past the former given he found only one too good over track and trip on last month’s debut. The betting suggested Broughtons Story would leave his earlier form behind when sent off favourite at Wolverhampton but he clipped heels and unseated while Sheepscar Lad has placed over 5f here but looks pretty exposed as he steps up in trip. The remainder are hard to fancy unless the newcomer Sussex Girl, a half-sister to several winners, proves above average.
