Verdict
Solar Spirit is back on the same mark as when last successful but didn't run very well at Catterick on Wednesday. Al Khan went up 5lb for scoring at Carlisle and though well supported couldn't complete the double back there. The three-year-old Makin The Rules made all for a comfortable victory at Catterick and his penalty is more than nullified by Joe Doyle's claim so another big run is expected though he takes on older horses this time and BAJAN BEAR looks the one to be on. He was having just his second start for sprint king Dandy Nicholls when scooting up at Nottingham last week and though penalised 6lb he's still on a very fair mark and can complete a quick double. Micky Hammond's horses have been going well so Hamilton winner Dream Ally enters the equation as does Diamond Blue, who is just 2lb higher than her last winning mark
