      Verdict

      Dontgiveuponbob was beaten only a head over a shorter trip at Carlisle but has had 14 starts without winning now. Almunther went close at Beverley but disappointed when favourite back at the same track last time while Breathable has plenty to prove over today’s distance and Firby and Bittersweet look no nearer winning. CHANSON DE LA MER ran in snatches at Sandown on her handicap debut but is still learning and David Menusier’s unexposed filly may well improve for this extra furlong and be thereabouts at the finish.
