        Verdict

        Perfect Muse has won three of her last four and was a bit unlucky in the other. She's shot up the weights as a consequence but has gone well on soft going in the past so has to be on the short-list. Meadway scored on good ground at Ripon when he had Adam's Ale close up in second and Singeur not far behind in fourth with Bondi Beach Boy a close-up fifth. The winner is 3lb higher but should go well again while Singeur is a rare winner these days but has dropped to a lowly mark and should be on the mark again soon. Mutafaakir ran a superb race at Nottingham where the soft going wasn't expected to suit and can go well but it's AUGUSTA ADA who gets the verdict. Ollie Pears' filly landed a three-year-old handicap here before a fine effort under a penalty in a better race at Newmarket a week later.
