Verdict

Daniel Tudhope could afford to ease down Hit The Jackpot in the closing stages at Ripon on Thursday and he still won by five lengths. A 6lb penalty is unlikely to prevent another bold bid but the unexposed COMEDY KING may prove too good. The latter won his maiden at Newcastle last month and the Cumani yard has an impressive strike rate at the track. Cactus Valley was returning from a lengthy absence at Epsom and should finish a lot closer today while Correggio wasn't beaten far at York despite finishing only sixth. Both Legal Waves and Epic Battle were big disappointments last time but the former may have needed the run and was consistent last term.
