Verdict
Top Notch Tonto has done brilliantly for connections and though penalised for last month's Listed success at York he would be a threat to all if the ground turns soft. Birdman has won five times since joining David O'Meara and deserves a crack at this level after his latest success in a Class 2 handicap at York. SHORT SQUEEZE was conceding Top Notch Tonto 1lb when beating him narrowly in a tough handicap at York last August and would have an obvious chance of confirming the form on these terms as long as the going remains good. He's taken to see off the challenge of the three-year-old Let's Go, who has won two minor races on the all-weather in the style of a very useful performer.
