In depth
Verdict
Linnet is open to improvement after just two starts but Amanda Perrett's filly has hardly been let in lightly on a mark of 70 for her debut in a handicap and preference is for Be Wise Girl, who gets the vote ahead of Magical Wit. The last mentioned has only raced on the all-weather since joining Vince Smith and, having not shown much in four starts on turf when trained in Ireland, may be best watched despite racing off a potentially lenient mark. Mick Channon's Wansdyke Lass has claims on the form shown when winning at Yarmouth but has disappointed since then, while Moonfleet showed her best form last time and could be interesting if able to reproduce it. Rosie Mac is less exposed than many of these and is another worthy of a mention but the vote goes to Be Wise Girl, who has seemed not to stay 1m4f in her last two starts and reverts to 1m2f off what still looks to be a potentially fair mark.
