        Verdict

        Van Gerwen won this12 months ago but hasn’t reproduced that form since. Muatadel, Sheepscar Lad and Musharrif all remain in good form and should be in the firing-line again while Gamesome is beginning to look well handicapped but Straightothepoint almost always finds at least one too good and has become expensive to follow. PADDY POWER should be at home over this stiff 5f and a good run from Kenny The Captain earlier on the card would be a boost to his chances - he holds Adam's Ale on the form book. Lexington Place could also play a part.
