In depth

Verdict

Tawaafud, Otelicaliforni and Truly Fruitful look the horses to concentration and Tawaafud is the selection. She very much had things her own way at Ripon and while such a scenario is unlikely here, she looks ahead of the handicapper and Martin Dwyer looks to have come to Pontefract especially for the ride. Otelicaliforni won an uncompetitive maiden at Hamilton and will find life tougher now she is back in handicaps. That said, she posted a fair time on the day and improvement is not out of the question. Truly Fruitful was disqualified when successful at the track two weeks ago but nevertheless receives a 6lb hike up the weights. Luna Landing finished well behind on the day and looks difficult to make a case for. Bin Rahy has failed to build upon an eyecatching run at York while Stolen Glance, who is engaged at York on Saturday, would have chances but is potentially a doubtful runner. Tawaafud impressed at Ripon and we believe that she will follow up here.
