Correggio won this in 2015 and returned to form at Thirsk but is 3lb out of the handicap. MININGROCKS completed a hat-trick of victories over this trip on ground with some give before finding fast going against him at Haydock, where he wasn't beaten far. Providing the ground doesn't get too quick he can get back to winning ways. Near Kettering battled to victory in a Redcar maiden but didn't make the expected progress in a Newmarket handicap and though Beverley Bullet is running well a strike-rate of 1-20 doesn't inspire confidence.
