Ivanovich Gorbatov has bounced back to form with two cracking efforts though a 9lb penalty for his Fairyhouse success makes this more difficult. His stable companion Landofhopeandglory had been racing over fences before beating a decent field at Cork and looks well handicapped while Woodland Opera, another who mixes hurdling and chasing, was in excellent form in the autumn when completing a hat-trick. He will have needed his comeback in March and will be fresher than most as will Golden Spear, another who should be fit and well having had a break since impressing at Down Royal in November. LAC KIVU (NAP), a maiden winner here two years ago, was having only his second subsequent run when conceding 7lb to useful stablemate Whiskey Sour at Cork last month with the remainder in another parish. He's still only six and looks a fine prospect though his stable have another eight entries plus two reserves engaged. Le Tektor was engaged in the 7.10 yesterday.
