Verdict
Prince Rudi won this very easily a year ago and has been primed for a repeat though he's now 12lb higher. The very consistent Rivage D'Or holds him on their run at Fairyhouse last week but is probably a few pounds high in the weights while the promising Skorcher is making his handicap debut in a very tough event. Stablemate Kerb Appeal, runner-up in that Fairyhouse handicap last week, is making good progress and looks sure to go well but Willie Mullins has six runners here and the best of them may be SIR VINCENT. He was making his handicap debut and tackling this trip for the first time when runner-up to Baracas at Fairyhouse and with that under his belt looks the one to be on. Alfa Beat has developed into a very useful chaser and though 18lb higher than when last scoring over timber in July cannot be ruled out in what is an extremely competitive race.
