Verdict
CROWNS MAJOR, rated 97 on the Flat after landing a Galway premier handicap, comfortably won a four-year-old maiden hurdle here in October and there's much more to come. He gets the nod over Top Bandit, who was good value for last month's course and distance victory in what looked a strong novices' event and should also go on to better things. Ferdia has found 2m4f stretching his stamina after a Grade 3 placed effort over this trip at Navan but Hammersmith needs to step-up on what he's shown to date. The Names Jock hasn't really progressed since a winning debut over timber at Listowel.
