Kilcrea started favourite at Thurles a fortnight ago after a promising reappearance at Clonmel but was just starting to feel the pressure when falling at the second last. Winter Magic hasn't really progressed as expected from hunter chases while Chute Hall has never reached a place in eight starts over fences though he's well handicapped compared to his chase rating.
